2023 Mini and Junior GNR

Last year our Mini’s and Juniors had a blast, with one of our students Toby getting to meet Mo Farah at the GNR Conference. We thank everyone who got involved.

Fun For All The Family

The AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great North Run takes place on closed roads around the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. It’s also wheelchair friendly for all.

You can also get the opportunity to meet Tyney, the official Great Run mascot!

The Route

All runners will start by crossing the Swing Bridge. Junior runners will then do an out and back section towards the Redheugh Bridge, before re-joining the Mini route that heads along the Gateshead Quayside, past the Sage Gateshead and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. All participants will then run across the Millennium Bridge before their big finish on the Newcastle Quayside, near the Law Courts.

Get The Adults Involved!

The Great North Run is the largest and most iconic half marathon in the world, taking place annually each September. Participants run the 13.1 miles from Newcastle City Centre to South Shields, cheered on by the fantastic North East crowds lining the route along the way.
