Family Information and FOPHS News Friday 24th October 2025

Welcome to 最新麻豆原创 School's Family Liaison Blog!

As we break for a week for half term, I hope that your children/young people have settled into new class groups, key stages and school routine. We reopen on Monday 3rd November. There will not be staff in school over the holidays. Messages left on the answerphone will be dealt with when we return.

We were delighted to welcome parents and carers of students of Year 7 upwards to our first Parent/Carer Forum of the year.听 We ran this session as a hybrid and were pleased to have as many people online as we had in the room!

Louise Finlay, our Careers Lead, gave a presentation sharing information about next steps during transition periods and discussion of some of the challenges that parents may encounter when planning for their child鈥檚 transition into adulthood.听 We talked about:

Destination data 鈥 an outline of where our students move on to

Statutory requirements on schools and Local Authorities in reporting and offering places

The new reporting system in school and how we are using it to show progress, outline need and provision, and to amplify student and parent voice

Signposting to resources to support parental decision-making, via the school website and the Local Offers

It is never too early to start thinking about which provision will best meet your child鈥檚 needs, and to understand some of the issues which should be considered in achieving these goals and aspirations.

Our next Parent/Carer Forum will focus on Social Care and why their involvement might support your preferences as your child moves towards important transition years.

We welcome any feedback on our offer of support.听 If you鈥檇 like to discuss any issues covered in these meetings in further detail, you can contact Louise Finlay, Hannah Fuller or Eileen Robinson via email or phone,

Looking for a quote to end the week and trying hard to avoid the scary Hallowe鈥檈n ones I found this one. So true and it made me laugh.

Hallowe鈥檈n is right around the corner. You can tell because all the stores are decked out for Christmas鈥.

Stephen Colbert.
