Christmas at the Foundation
Christmas is officially here at the Foundation!
From our schools and college to our adult services, staff and the people we support have been coming together to fully embrace the Christmas spirit. Take a look at some of the wonderful ways we鈥檝e been celebrating the festive season.
Christmas Fayres
‘Tis the season for Christmas Fayres!
We鈥檝e had a brilliant time at the Christmas Fayres across Northern Counties School, 最新麻豆原创 School, Hedley鈥檚 College and Horizons. Learners and members loved getting involved, supporting the stalls and enjoying a variety of fun, festive activities.
Attendees were delighted by visits from Santa himself (and a few of his elves!) and really enjoyed the opportunity to come together with the local community.
Our Original Christmas Song
Our Horizons Music Team have been working hard to write, record, and produce their very own original Christmas song: Christmas Time (On the Horizon).
This fantastic project has been a true labour of love for our dedicated service users and has resulted in a wonderfully catchy song.
Please have a listen by clicking below, and congratulations to everyone involved in creating such a hit!
Performing at the RVI
Our Northern Counties signing choir have been no stranger to wonderful opportunities this year, and performing at the RVI was a perfect way to round the year off.
Our choir spread the Christmas spirit by sharing a selection of festive songs through sign language with patients, visitors, and staff.
This is a much-loved tradition that our choir looks forward to every Christmas; an opportunity to spread joy across the community and bring smiles to so many faces.
MOVing in a Winter Wonderland
The sports hall at 最新麻豆原创 School was transformed into a Winter Wonderland, with a range of activities designed to aid in motor skills.
From throwing games, to playing with fake snow, our students loved going through the Chrismassy trail. The fun continued in the Hellens Sensory Motor Suite with more activities such as pinning names on a Naughty and Nice list, decorating tree baubles and dressing up in Santa Hats.
Learners also enjoyed a visit to Santa and his elves, with sweets provided by FoPHS.
